Listing Corrections & Removals
A documented process for providers, regulators and members of the public.
What You Can Request
- Correct a business name, address, telephone number, website or operating status.
- Provide an official license or registration record for review.
- Report a closed, duplicated or wrongly categorized establishment.
- Request removal where a listing is inaccurate, unlawful or presents a substantiated safety or impersonation concern.
How to Submit
Email david@fenova.co with:
- the CremationCheck page URL (current reference: eckersell-rigby-id);
- the business name and state;
- the exact change requested;
- a link to an official registry, the business website, or another reliable supporting record;
- your relationship to the business, if applicable.
Review Process
- We preserve the request and supporting source.
- We compare the claim with OpenStreetMap, the relevant state authority and other primary sources.
- We may request additional evidence to prevent fraudulent changes.
- When evidence supports the request, we correct, annotate, deactivate or remove the listing.
- The source and review date are retained internally for auditability.
Removing a page from CremationCheck does not alter the underlying OpenStreetMap or government record. Corrections to those sources must also be requested from their respective operators.
Urgent Issues
Put “URGENT LISTING ISSUE” in the email subject for impersonation, fraud, safety or personal-data concerns. CremationCheck is not an emergency service; contact the relevant regulator or law-enforcement authority when appropriate.
